Carolyn is the CEO and Founder of Maiden Voyage.

Prior to launching Maiden Voyage in 2008, Carolyn was a regular business traveller through her work as a technology leader for major media and travel organisations world-wide.

Today, she is well-known face within the travel security and business travel sectors regular speaking at industry conferences and featured in the global press on matters of inclusive travel safety and security.  She has been widely recognised through various awards for her work in DE&I and business travel safety.

She holds a degree in Business and IT, an MBA and is an alumnus of Cranfield School of Management.

Carolyn sits on the GBTA European Risk Committee and is a trustee of domestic violence charity Refuge.

Stacey is a Security Empowerment Specialist, whose mission is to inform, empower, and equip employees to proactively navigate a range of safety challenges.  With 20+ years of experience, including working as an embedded employee at Crisis 24, Stacey delivers travel safety, self-defence and active shooter training.

Stacey previously specialized in Crimes Against Children and Violent Crime matters during her tenure with the FBI, while also carrying certifications as a firearms instructor, defensive tactics instructor, hostage negotiator, and SWAT Sniper. Stacey served as a Diplomatic Security Contractor with the US Department of State where she helped inform and equip families to navigate security obstacles while serving and traveling abroad.

Anna works in digital marketing and has several years’ experience in copywriting, content marketing, SEO, social media management, marketing strategy, and web design. She has worked with Maiden Voyage since 2017 and has marketing experience working in-house within the hospitality and events sector, as well as working agency-side.

Anna enjoys using her creative flair and supports Maiden Voyage on a freelance basis with digital marketing and design.

Sue Williams QPM is an experienced hostage negotiator who works on some of the most high profile and dangerous hostage situations across the world.

She negotiates in war zones, on the high-seas with modern pirates, and on behalf of high net-worth families. She is a visiting lecturer at Harvard University and an Associate Fellow at the University of Oxford’s Said Business School.

Using her wealth of experience, Sue delivers travel safety training, keynote speeches and Chairs conferences.

Angélique Lecorps is a political and security consultant with extensive experience advising and reporting on hostile and fragile environments.

Angélique has worked with government agencies, NGOs, think tanks and multinational corporations, including in travel risk management, and previously worked as a translator and interpreter.

She has media experience and has taken part in conferences, security panels, and high-profile public events. She delivers travel safety training to the NGO and private sectors in both English and French.

Josephine specialises in international operations, including safety and security. Josephine has lived and worked in 25+ countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Pacific.

Josephine has managed large complex operations with focus on management of team safety and security, especially in insecure contexts. She has direct experience of managing individual security incidents, managing and supporting teams throughout.

She has developed, led and delivered training related to international operations and team safety globally.

Julie is a risk and hostile environment specialist with a wealth of knowledge and training expertise.  She has 25 years’ experience as an investigative journalist, documentary Producer/Director and Series Producer, and a senior management background in Public Relations, Marketing and Communications.

Born in Kenya, she has lived, worked and travelled in over 60 countries from Ethiopia and South Sudan to China, Myanmar and Afghanistan, where she spent months embedded with NATO Forces.

Julie teaches and lectures on travel safety awareness, risk assessment and ‘Hostile Environment and First Aid Training’ courses (HEFAT).  She has authored numerous travel safety and risk assessment resources for corporates and journalists, including online training and toolkits hosted by Thompson Reuters Foundation and Rory Peck Trust.  She’s also contributed to the podcast series: Risk – ‘Working in the World’s Most Dangerous Places’.

Emma is a Director at Global Butterflies, a company that has been extremely successful in bringing about LGBTQI+ inclusion and acceptance training programmes within corporate organisations around the world.

Emma is an openly trans woman, having transitioned in 2009, and she is passionate about raising awareness of LGBTQI+ inclusion especially trans & non-binary issues.

She has been featured in the UK Financial Times and has written many blogs including for the Huffington Post and HR Zone and she was recently quoted in the Business Travel News (BTN) Europe article on “Inclusive Itineraries”.

In September 2020, she became a Trustee for the Human Dignity Trust (using the law to defend the human rights of LGBT people globally)
